Manchester United Set to Confirm Jose Mourinho as New Manager

By Muriisa Robert On:13 May 2016

According to multiple reports on Friday morning, Jose Mourinho is finally set to be announced as Manchester United’s new manager.

document 6188{What could Jose Mourinho's Manchester United team look like if he takes over at Old Trafford?} Mourinho has been linked with the Manchester United job for a number of months at this stage but it now looks as if the speculation is finally set to end with the ‘Special One’ signing a deal that will see him replacing Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford. The news was broken by Sky Sports Italy with the report stating that, although the deal is not 100% official at present, it is ‘only a matter of hours’ from being concluded. José Mourinho will be the next manager of Manchester United. The Special One, back from his second unsuccessful spell at Chelsea, will replace Dutchman Louis van Gaal on the bench at Old Trafford… Mourinho is preparing to sign for his new adventure in the Premier League with the task of re-launching the Red Devils, who have not won the English title since 2013… Although there is no official agreement as of yet, it would seem to be only a matter of hours before it is confirmed. Although multiple publications are now reporting on the apparently imminent announcement, it seems to be unknown at present whether Louis van Gaal will be allowed to see out the final two games of the season or whether he will immediately leave the club. Although Van Gaal’s spell at Old Trafford has been far from a roaring success, the majority of the United faithful still seem to have some sort of soft spot for the ‘Iron Tulip’ and, as such, one would hope that the Dutch manager will be given a proper send off with the club’s first FA Cup win since 2004. {{By Robert Muriisa, Sky sports.}}
