He was not Killed: Mbabazi’s Bodyguard is Back from Hiding

Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s bodyguard Christopher Aine, is back, alive and kicking.

Aine exchanging fights with the police in Western part of the county in Ntungamo district during the 2016 presidential campaigns, from then, he has been in hiding.

Aine resurfaced on Thursday four months after he went missing in December, last year during the 2016 presidential campaigns.

However posts were all over the social media that he was killed by the Ugandan police or government which wasn’t true according to reports?

Aine has been on the police ’wanted’ list.

However, also his family accused police of arresting and locking him following the incident that he was carried away from his home.

Later a photo claiming he was dead circulated on social media leading to the arrest of political analyst Charles Rwomushana and the Uganda’s Red Pepper editors.

Aine handed himself to the President Yoweri Museveni’s brother Gen Salim Saleh, something that has continued to raise many questions to rest of Ugandans saying that there might be a political game being played between him and the government.

He confessed spending the last four months hiding in Tanzania.
This cancels all rumours saying he was dead or detained by security forces.
