Rwanda’s Aircraft Technicians urged to Maintain Good Influence, Rwanda Air force Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff of Rwanda Defence Force Air force Brig Gen Charles Karamba advised 35 Air craft technicians leaving for United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to maintain good name of Rwanda while contributing to the achievement of the Mission Mandate.


“You should be able to contribute to the achievement of your Mission, end result of successful completion of your tour of duty. Maintain good name of Rwanda, the RDF and Rwandans”, the Chief of Staff briefed Air force Peacekeepers at Busanza Air force Barracks on 18 March 2016.

The Aircraft Technicians depart Monday 23 March 2016 to relieve their colleagues of Rwanda Aviation Unit who have been serving in the UNMISS for the last twelve months in South Sudan.

Brig Gen Charles Karamba further advised the Peacekeepers to maintain good discipline, cohesion, esprit de corps and to respect Standard Operations Procedures “I wish you a successful Mission, go and execute”, he ordered.

Rwanda Defence Force maintains two infantry battalions, Rwanda aviation unit with six helicopters serving in UNMISS in the Republic of South Sudan.
