Five Real Madrid players have expressed concerns about Cristiano Ronaldo

REAL MADRID players are reportedly concerned about Cristiano Ronaldo’s erratic form.

Despite scoring 23 goals in 30 games, Ronaldo has endured a difficult season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Portugal international has struggled for consistency with fans beginning to show signs of discontent.

The former Manchester United winger has been whistled by sections of the supporters for several below-par performances of late.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim five Madrid players have expressed concerns to Florentino Perez about the 32-year-old.

Midfield duo Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are said to be frustrated that their passes aren’t being finished off by Madrid’s No7.

Mateo Kovacic is also annoyed at Ronaldo’s lack of ruthlessness with the Croatia international’s own displays suffering as a result.

Ex-Tottenham star Gareth Bale, meanwhile, has also asked Florentino Perez to be Madrid’s main man for next season.

The Wales international wants more responsibility and to usurp his team-mate as club talisman.

He believes Ronaldo is past his best and reckons he is the man to lead them to more success in the future.

Another player concerned by the Euro 2016 winner’s displays is Alvaro Morata.

The striker has had to make do with cameo appearances with manager Zinedine Zidane opting to play Ronaldo in a centre-forward role.

Morata’s goal-to-game ratio is better than his team-mate’s - scoring a goal every 105 minutes compared to the Portuguese’s record of one every 116.

The Spain international has grown increasingly exasperated with life under Zidane and, with Chelsea and Arsenal waiting in the wings, a summer exit could be on the cards.

Perez acknowledges their complaints but, with Ronaldo a key asset off the pitch, a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu isn’t in the offing.
