Ghana star Andre Ayew to miss AFCON clash against Rwanda

The Black Stars will have to make do without deputy skipper Andre Ayew in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Rwanda.

The winger has been ruled out of action for four months due to injury.

The West Ham record signing limped off on his debut after spraining a muscle in his right thigh.

The 26-year-old underwent scan and it was confirmed that he will sit out for four months.

The Black Stars play host to Rwanda next month in Accra with qualification already secured.

Ayew was on target in the 2-0 win at Mozambique which confirmed the Ghana’s participation in next year’s showpiece.
