Bandari set to appoint Rwanda coach?

Rwandan coach Andre Casa Mbungo is set to hold talks over the vacant head coach position at Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Bandari.

The hot seat has not been filled permanently since the departure of Twahir Muhiddin in May 2016.

According to Mbungo, it’s too early to tell how strong his chances are of getting the job, but he has confirmed that he will be meeting with the Bandari hierarchy this week.

"I am travelling to Kenya to meet the bosses of Bandari but nothing has been agreed yet. In a few days we will know what will happen but the truth is that we are in talks," Mbungo was quoted as saying by All Africa, ahead of his departure from Kigali on Tuesday.

The 47-year-old Mbungo last coached at Police FC in his home country, but was relieved of his duties in June after failing to claim any silverware.

Also being linked to the Bandari job is Spain-born Antonio Flores.
