Wenger Reveals Latest news for Arsenal’s FA Cup tie against Watford as also West Ham visits Man Utd on Sunday

Arsene Wenger has revealed Aaron Ramsey is out for four weeks but he will be back before the end of the season.

The Wales midfielder came off after only 16 minutes as a second-half sub in the midweek win at Hull with a thigh injury.

There were fears the former Cardiff star would be out for the rest of the campaign. But speaking before Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Watford, the Gunners boss said:

“At the moment his clinical signs are quite positive. I would say four weeks. It was a bit worse than I thought because I didn’t see it. Usually when a player gets injured with a muscle, he stops and I did not have that feeling of precaution so I thought he would be available for Sunday.”

Wenger said he was considering taking the “gamble” of recalling Laurent Koscielny from a calf injury if he trains well tomorrow.

“Gabriel and Mertesacker came off injured but should be available,” he reported. “Koscielny is not far. Will I risk him or not? There is a little medical risk but I have not made a decision yet.

He has to join in normal training tomorrow and then for me to take a gamble on a guy that has run training sessions with the group or not.

After advice from medical people, I will take the gamble if he is available.”

However, Premier league continues this weekend Saturday as Norwich City will be up against Manchester City, AFC Bournemouth-Swansea City, and on Sunday, Stoke City-Southampton, Aston Villa-Tottenham Hotspur Whereas Liverpool-Chelsea game has been postponed.

All games will kick-off 17:00.
