Chelsea boss Antonio Conte dedicates Leicester win to Willian: We want to be a family

ANTONIO CONTE told reporters Chelsea’s 3-0 win was for Willian who is in Brazil after the death of his mother.

Goals from Diego Costa and Eden Hazard gave Chelsea a 2-0 lead going into the break.

Victor Moses is enjoying his second spell at Chelsea after loan spells away from the club and rounded the game off with Chelsea’s third ten minutes from time.

Willian was unavailable for selection this week after being granted leave to go to Brazil after his mother passed away.

And Conte offered his condolences to the Chelsea winger and dedicated the three points to him.

"Willian is a fantastic guy and he deserves this on the part of the players. We are a team and we want to become a family," said Conte.

"I want to dedicate this to Willian and his family as in this moment he is very sad. We are all sad."

Conte opted to change the systm for Leicester’s visit and the Chelsea manager was delighted with the response his team made to the changes.

"It was a good game. From the start I asked them to play well with intensity and to try to do what we are doing in training," Conte added.

"I am very happy because I had a good reply. This is the best game for us. I saw good commitment. When you work hard it is important to have a good performance.

"In the week we tried a lot to find a solution that gave us more compactness. For this team and squad this system is the right fit. The coach must understand and find the right suit. We are like a tailor."
