Two female teachers of Kirimon Primary School were injured in the incident during which property was destroyed.

Parents said the school has disrespected their culture which does not allow female teachers to punish boys in front of girls.

They said management should work closely with the community and organise regular meetings of teachers and pupils.

Teachers, board members and the area education officer held a closed-door meeting following the protest.
